Women’s Golf Set to Compete in Edisto Island Invitational

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Women's Golf team is back on the course, as the Bulldogs compete in the Edisto Island Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 14-15).
The College of Charleston is hosting the tournament, which will be played at the Plantation Course at Edisto. The course is Par 70 – 5,824 yards with 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
UNC Asheville Lineup: 1. Caroline Patterson, 2. Beryl Giletti, 3. Jordyn Arts, 4. Ally Kerr, 5. Morgan Guepet
Individuals: Kennedy Noe, Claudia Salvador, Kate Bennett, and Savannah Thessing.
About the Bulldogs: Asheville's last time out was at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Wolcott, Colorado. The Bulldogs finished 11th out of the 16 teams competing. Caroline Patterson led the Bulldogs with her 3-round score of 220 (4-over).
About the Tournament Field: Asheville is part of the 17-team field that includes The Citadel, South Alabama, Northern Arizona, Appalachian State, College of Charleston (SC), Elon, Georgia State, William & Mary, Missouri State, Towson, Jacksonville, East Tennessee State, Rollins, and Stetson. Asheville will also shoot alongside Big South teams Radford and Longwood.
