Bulldogs Continue Winning Ways with 6-1 Victory over North Carolina Central

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team continued its winning ways with a 6-1 victory over visiting North Carolina Central on Tuesday (Mar. 7) at the Asheville Racquet Club.

UNC Asheville won the doubles point with wins in two out of three doubles contests, before winning five out of six in singles play.

Valeria Centeno and Elizabeth Tindera finished off No. 3 doubles first with a victory over Alejandro Hildalgo and Isabelle Exsted, before Rosie Dickson and Ami Grace Dougah beat Kennedy Hill and Candice Bernier 7-5 at No. 1 doubles to clinch the doubles point. Linge Steenkamp would beat Hill at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-0, before Tindera would beat Jade Houston 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3. Dickson put together a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 4 over Bernier, before Avery Sager beat Maria Picazo 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5. Centeno polished off the win with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Lafi Joao at No. 6 singles.
