Women's Tennis Announces Two Signees for 2026-27

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis has announced two signees for 2026-27, both players joining the Bulldogs for the upcoming year.
 
Madison McLeod joins the Bulldogs after transferring from Connecticut, where she played her freshman season. She has trained at Chris Evert's academy for the past five years and was a four-star recruit out of high school.
 
"I couldn't be more excited to announce my commitment to UNC Asheville!" said McLeod. "The coaches, the community and everything the program stands for made this decision feel right.I can't wait to be a Bulldog!"
 
"Coach Duncan and I are so excited to have Madi join our tennis family!" said head coach Jeff Maren. "She is committed to growth, is passionate about her sport and is dedicated to her team! I have no doubt that she will help us to elevate our program to new heights!"
 
Srinidhi Madhu joins the Bulldogs from Surrey, Great Britain achieving a Top 50 ranking in the UK national U-18 circuit. She was a finalist of the Women's Lexus British Tour in Hull City, while also competing in multiple ITF junior competitions. She was selected for the U-18 County Cup and was a team captain, while also being selected for the RPDC and nationals age group program for U-14.
 
"It was always an easy decision for me to represent the Bulldogs!" said Madhu. "The amazing coaching team, competitive tennis program and strong sense of community made UNC Asheville the perfect fit. I'm excited to begin this journey and can't wait to get started!" 
 
"Srinidhi has shown to me through the recruiting process that she has leadership qualities, which will be valuable to our team!" said Maren. "She is also a fighter on court, and loves to compete for a bigger cause! I have no doubt that she will elevate our program! We can't wait for Srini to join us this fall!"
