Women's Tennis Welcomes North Carolina Central for Non-Conference Contest on Tuesday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville welcomes North Carolina Central for a non-conference contest on Tuesday (Mar. 7). First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. from the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.

About the Bulldogs - The Bulldogs come into the match at 9-1 overall on a nine-match winning streak after a 4-3 win at Campbell on Saturday (Mar. 4). UNC Asheville comes in with a combined 21-7 doubles record and a combined 44-15 singles record. Ari Siegel and Linge Steenkamp lead the way in doubles play with eight wins, while Elizabeth Tindera and Valeria Centeno have seven wins and Ami Grace Dougah and Rosie Dickson have six. Dougah leads the way in singles play with 10 wins on the season, while Steenkamp has nine wins and Tindera has seven. Centeno has posted six wins so far on the year, while Avery Sager and Dickson each have five. Beatrice Faureng and Siegel also each have one singles win on the season.

About the Eagles - North Carolina Central enters the matchup with a 4-5 overall record after a 5-2 win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday (Mar. 4).
