Women's Tennis Makes History with Win at Campbell on Saturday

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team made history with its 4-3 win over Campbell in Big South Conference action on Saturday (Mar. 4). The win marks the 250th in the history of the program, and marks nine wins in a row for the first time in the Lise Gregory era.
The Bulldogs won two of three matches in doubles play to secure the doubles point, before picking up three wins in singles play for the win.
Ami Grace Dougah and Rosie Dickson teamed up for a 6-2 win over Mialy Ranaivo and Lena Karlovcan at No. 1 doubles, before Linge Steenkamp and Ari Siegel beat Anna-Marie Kopecka and Mariana Ossa 6-3 at No. 2 doubles. Dougah went on to beat Tasmin Hart 6-4, 7-6 (4-0) at No. 1 singles, while Steenkamp beat Karlovcan 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Asheville's other singles win came from Dickson at No. 4 as she beat Kopecka 6-4, 6-4.
