ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's tennis rolled past Gardner-Webb in Big South Conference action on Tuesday (Mar. 21) by a score of 6-1 for the team's 12th straight win.
The Bulldogs captured the doubles point with two victories, before winning five out of six singles matches to take the win.
Linge Steenkamp and Ari Siegel defeated Maria Jardim and Courtney Fyvie 6-1 at No. 2 doubles, before Elizabeth Tindera and Valeria Centeno beat Valeria Lloclla and Katie Watts 6-1 at No. 3 doubles. Ami Grace Dougah would beat Manon Delsol 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, before Tindera beat Jardim 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3. Rosie Dickson would blank Lloclla 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, before Avery Sager beat Elise Semmartin 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 at No. 5. Centeno would close things out with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Cayline Le Grange at No. 6.
