Women's Tennis Hosts a Pair of Matches This Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's tennis hosts a pair of matches this week at the Asheville Racquet Club, welcoming Gardner-Webb on Tuesday (Mar. 21) in Big South Conference action before taking on Milligan in non-conference action. The Gardner-Webb match is set for a 2:00 p.m. start, while the match against Milligan will start at 3:30 p.m.
About Asheville - The Bulldogs come into the week on an 11-match winning streak at 11-1 overall and 3-0 in the Big South Conference. UNC Asheville is sporting a combined 25-7 doubles record on the season, along with a combined 54-17 singles record. Ari Siegel and Linge Steenkamp have posted nine wins in doubles play, while the teams of Ami Grace Dougah and Rosie Dickson and Elizabeth Tindera and Valeria Centeno each have eight wins in doubles play. Dougah and Steenkamp each have 11 wins in singles play, while Tindera also has nine and Centeno has eight. Avery Sager has won seven singles matches on the year, while Dickson has picked up six wins and Beatrice Faureng and Siegel have each won one singles match on the season.Â
