Bulldogs Capture Seventh Straight Win with 5-2 Defeat of Western Carolina

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team captured its seventh straight win on Sunday (Feb. 12) with a 5-2 win over Western Carolina in non-conference action.
The Bulldogs captured the doubles point with two wins in doubles play, before winning four out of six singles matches for the victory.
Rosie Dickson and Ami Grace Dougah beat Chloe and Madison Schwarz 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, before Ari Siegel and Linge Steenkamp beat Angela Perez and Isabella Sambola 6-3 at No. 2 doubles. Dougah went on to beat Sambola 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, before Steenkamp defeated Madison Schwarz 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2. Elizabeth Tindera beat Leilany Ipunesso 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3, before Valeria Centeno beat Andrea Redono 7-6, 6-4 at No. 6 for the win.
