ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Women's Tennis will compete in their home finale Thursday against Presbyterian at 2:00 p.m.
Thursday's match will feature Senior Sendoff for Lize Alet Morkel and Taylor Love starting at 1:30 at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
Love, a fifth-year senior from Wilson, North Carolina, and Morkel, from Western Cape, South Africa, have a combined 61 career singles victories and 61 career doubles victories, including a 23-10 record as a duo.
The Bulldogs find themselves on a two-game skid heading into the matchup and at sixth place in the Big South standings at 3-3, but within striking distance of fourth place behind Radford (4-3), and Presbyterian (4-2).
The Blue Hose come into the match having lost three out of their last four with opponents including top-seeded Charleston Southern, and second place Campbell.
The series between Asheville and Presbyterian has been evenly notched, with each team earning three wins in the last six matchups against each other.
Last season, the Bulldogs only managed to put one point on the board behind a Rosie Dickson 6-0, 6-2 singles victory, but two matches had to be finished in a third set.
