QUOTABLES
“Sometimes games are less about the tactics and more about who has the desire to compete. Who is going to step up and make a statement by giving energy to the group with communications, physical tackles and running to win plays. We didn't have that collectively today and that's partly due to our youth. If we strive to be those championship teams then we must embrace the moments that are incredibly uncomfortable because that is when we are going to see the most growth. Elite teams are able to replicate their success by doing the fundamentals better than anyone else. That is what we strive for and we are very capable of doing that. Unfortunately, we had to be reminded that just showing up doesn't guarantee you anything. This is a teachable moment. We must quickly learn the lessons and move on because our next game is Wednesday. The good news is our talent level is higher than what we displayed and this group is hungry for success.” - Head Coach Michelle Demko
UP NEXT
-Asheville returns home for three consecutive Big South home matchups beginning on Wednesday when they host Presbyterian. The Bulldogs will also take on Liberty (Oct. 3) and Charleston Southern (Oct. 7) during the upcoming homestand.
