Schumer followed with a double placing runner at second and third. Vaughn singled home Kreiser. Schumer came around to score on a throwing error to make the score 11-1.
CMU got back on the board in the seventh. Back-to-back pinch hits by Nate Theunissen and a Tyler Kipke produced a run. In the bottom of the inning, Kreiser hit a sacrifice fly to score Carter who had single and moved to third on a base hit by Weidenbacher.
In the eighth, CMU finished the scoring as Matt Faiman led off with a single. A wild pitch moved him to second base where he would score on a single by Reid Rooney. Rooney moved up to second on an error and moved to third on a ground out. A fielder's choice off the bat of Harvey Martin allowed Rooney to score and bring the final to 12-4.
