The 2011-12 season will be Kotie Kimble's fourth year with the UNC Asheville program. The 2007 Coastal Carolina graduate is very organized and had extensive experience with Buzz Peterson, while he was coaching the Chanticleer program.
"We are very pleased to have Kotie Kimble as a part of our program," stated Eddie Biedenbach. "Kotie has learned from a lot of good coaches over the years. He works very hard on the recruiting trail and is an excellent communicator. He relates very well with our players."
Kimble was a key part of the Bulldog coaching staff last year that won the Big South Conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. He worked with all-conference guards, Matt Dickey and J.P. Primm. Dickey was a first-team all-conference selection, while Primm earned second team honors. Both were on the All-Tournament team with Dickey being named MVP.
Kimble served as an undergraduate assistant coach at Coastal Carolina under both Pete Strickland and Buzz Peterson. He graduated with a degree in history in 2007.
