2022-23 Season (Senior) - Sylla appeared in 23 games for Asheville in 2022-23...Scored 44 points & grabbed 55 rebounds on the season...His top outing was on December 7 vs. Warren Wilson where he scored 14 points and added 12 rebounds in just 12 minutes of action...Played a season-high 25 minutes vs. Presbyterian on January 25...Grabbed eight rebounds in 12 minutes of action at Arkansas in late December.
Prior to UNC Asheville - A native of Bamako, Mali, Sylla opened his career at Iowa Western Community College in 2018-19 before joining Tennessee Tech in 2019-20...The 6-foot-10, 235-pound forward appeared in 83 games for the Golden Eagles, including a career-high 32 this past year...Starting 10 of the 32 games in 2021-22, Sylla shot over 52 percent from the floor while scoring 5.4 points and grabbing 5.4 rebounds per game, ranking second on the team in blocks (26)...When the Bulldogs and Golden Eagles squared off back in November 2021, Sylla scored eight points while snagging a game-high 11 rebounds in 26 minutes of play...Grabbing seven or more rebounds 10 times, Sylla produced an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double in a 76-70 win at Tennessee Martin in January.
