2022 Season (Senior) - Prior to the 2022 season, Chandler was awarded the honorary #6 jersey in remembrance of former Bulldog Jeff Fox who showed all the qualities that the program wants in its players...In his fourth season as a Bulldog, Chandler played in 35 games and started 13 of those contests...He spent the majority of his playing time in centerfield for Asheville...He collected eight hits, scored eight runs, and drew eight walks on the season...Went 2-for-5 with a run scored and drove in another in a win over Charleston Southern on March 27...Scored a season-high three runs in a victory over Niagara on February 27.
2021 Season (Junior) - During the 2021 campaign, Chandler appeared in 35 games and started 28 games...Serving as Asheville's main center fielder for the bulk of the season, Chandler hit .250 with 27 hits in 108 at-bats...The Apex, N.C. native picked up four doubles, two triples, drove in seven runs, and scored 16 more...Reached base in 17 straight games beginning on April 3 vs. Presbyterian all the way to Longwood on May 7...Logged eight multi-hit efforts at the plate, including a season-high 3-for-4 effort vs. Charleston Southern on April 22.
2020 Season (Sophomore) -Â Chandler appeared in 12 games and started five times in 2020...Hit .188 in 16 at-bats...Drew five walks, drove in two runs and scored another run as well.Â
2019 Season (Freshman) - Appeared in 31 games … Made 10 starts … Picked up eight hits in 43 at-bats … Totaled two RBIs and four runs scored … Picked up hits in three of his first five collegiate games.
Prior to UNC Asheville -Â AÂ 5-11 outfielder, who played at Middle Creek High School for coaches Wesley King and Jeremy Thompson ... Ranked the 27th-best outfielder in the state of North Carolina by Perfect Game ... As the senior team captain, Chandler led Middle Creek to the third round of the 4A State Playoffs, which included an upset victory over top-ranked Holly Springs ... Batted .351 with a .472 on-base percentage his senior year ... In his final year, he set the single-season school record for stolen bases with 24, and in that same season, Chandler was named the team's Offensive Most Valuable Player and also earned All-Conference honors ... Member of the 2013 Cal Ripken World Series National Championship team ... Three-year starter for the Garner Nationals American Legion team, where the program went to three consecutive state tournaments under coach Chris Cook.
