2022 Season (Junior) - As a junior, Lucas played in 10 games and started six in 2022...He hit .105 with two hits in 19 at-bats...He scored a pair of runs and drew a pair of walks as well...Collected hits at Virginia Tech (Feb. 19) and against Charleston Southern (March 26).
2021 Season (Sophomore) - During his second season with the Bulldogs, Lucas appeared in 33 games which included 29 starts...Serving as Asheville's primary catcher for a good chunk of the season, Lucas hit .213 with four home runs and 16 RBI...Lucas also scored 18 runs and drew nine walks...Finished third on the team with his four home runs...Posted five multi-hit outings as a sophomore...Connected for a pair of home runs vs. Presbyterian on April 3, which were Lucas' first two collegiate home runs...Also drove in four in that contest...Also drove in multiple runs at PC on April 6 and then again at Winthrop on April 9.
2020 Season (Freshman) - As a freshman, Lucas appeared in and started 14 games for UNC Asheville...The Waxhaw, N.C. native hit .130 with six runs scored and eight more driven in...Notched his first collegiate hit, which was a double, on February 19 against Wofford...Drove in a season-high three runs in that contest as well...Led the team in fielding chances with 124 and finished the season with .976 fielding percentage.Â
Prior to UNC Asheville -Â Lucas makes his way to the UNC Asheville baseball program out of Parkwood High School in Monroe, N.C. The Waxhaw, N.C. native was a three-year letterwinner at Parkwood. In 67 games played at Parkwood, Lucas owned a .311 batting average and a .469 on-base percentage. He finished his high school career with 45 RBIs, 33 runs scored and 12 doubles. He also had eight home runs and three triples. As a senior, Lucas hit .333 with a .461 on-base percentage. Lucas was named all-conference and all-county as a sophomore, junior and senior.
