ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Baseball faces a tough road test at Tennessee on Tuesday (Apr. 14), before playing a split series with Wofford over the weekend (Apr. 17-19).

About the Bulldogs - Asheville comes into the week at 16-20 overall and 4-8 in the Big South after dropping two out of three at Longwood over the weekend (Apr. 10-12) in conference play. The Bulldogs are fifth in the Big South and 56th in the nation with 27 double plays turned, while also ranking third in the conference and 54th in the nation with 20 sacrifice bunts. Owen Michelson leads the conference and is 13th in the nation with a .527 on-base percentage, while Logan Lowe is fourth in the league and 38th in the nation with six sacrifice bunts. Blaize Johnson is also second in the league and 52nd in the nation with a .689 slugging percentage, while also ranking first in the league and 50th in the nation with 91 total bases. Tennessee is third in the SEC and 23ird in the nation with 78 doubles, seventh in the SEC and 23rd in the nation with a 4.03 team earned run average, leading the SEC and fifth in the nation with a .985 fielding percentage and they also rank fourth in the SEC and 16th in the nation in hits allowed per nine innings (7.5). Tennessee is also eighth in the SEC and 26th in the nation in home runs (56), while also ranking second in the conference and the nation in strikeout to walk ratio (3.76). The Vols are also ninth in the SEC and 17th in the nation in strikeouts per nine innings (10.8) and second in the league and fourth in the nation in WHIP (1.16). Tennessee also averages the third-fewest walks per nine innings in the nation at 2.87.
