ORLANDO, Fla. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis earned a 5-2 win over St. Thomas (Fla.) on Monday (Mar. 9) to start Spring Break.

Asheville captured the doubles point with two wins in doubles play, before winning four singles matches to take the win. Angelina Joy Hug and Sofia Segui knotted up doubles play with a 6-2 win at No. 1 over Maeva Roguet and Alicia A. Rodriguez, before Isabella Moss and Valeria Centeno posted a 6-3 win at No. 2 over Sezin Akin and Sachely Carrera to secure the doubles point.

Hug would beat Leticia Orlandov 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 in singles play, before St. Thomas would pick up their tow wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Segui would beat Akin 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4, before Maria Sol Alvarez Brandon would beat Rodriguez 6-2, 7-5 at No. 5. Centeno would close things out with a 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 win over Jenesie Burgos at No. 6.
