Women's Tennis Set for Two Matches This Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis is set for two matches this week, at Wofford on Wednesday (Mar. 18) and home against Longwood on Saturday (Mar. 21).

About the Bulldogs - Asheville comes into the week at 8-5 overall and 1-0 in the Big South Conference after a 4-1 win over Quinnipiac back on Mar. 12. The Bulldogs are 40-28 in singles play, and 16-16 in doubles play. Isabella Moss and Valeria Centeno lead the way in doubles play with six wins, while Angelina Joy Hug/Sofia Segui and Avery Sager/Maria Sol Alvarez Brandon each have five wins in doubles play. Hug leads the way with nine wins in singles play, while Segui has eight wins and Centeno and Brandon each have seven wins in singles play. Sager has six wins in singles play, while Moss has three wins in singles play.   
 
About the Terriers - Wofford comes into the match at 6-5 overall after a 4-1 loss at Coastal Carolina back on Sunday (Mar. 15). Wofford has a 37-23 combined singles record, as well as an 18-11 combined doubles record on the season. Quinn Bernthal, Katie Godfree and Ella Suk each have six wins in singles play, while Grace Agster, Chloe Elliott and Marie Henriksen each have five wins.
