RICHMOND, Ky. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis battled, but fell at Eastern Kentucky by a score of 4-3 on Friday (Feb. 13).

Eastern Kentucky won the doubles point with two wins in doubles play, before winning three singles matches to secure the victory.

Angelina Joy Hug earned a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles over Ceylin Ipek, before Valeria Centeno won by walkover over Anastas Cherniakova at No. 6. Sofia Segui would win at No. 5 singles 6-4, 6-3 over Zhansaya Bakytzhan.

The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 14) to face Western Kentucky in non-conference action. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m. from Richmond, Ky.
