Women's Tennis Set to Take on Eastern Kentucky, Western Kentucky This Weekend

About the Bulldogs - Asheville comes into the weekend at 1-1 overall after a 7-0 win at South Carolina State back on Saturday (Feb. 7). Asheville comes in with five singles wins on the season, along with two doubles wins. Avery Sager/Maria Sol Alvarez Brandon and Angelina Joy Hug/Sofia Segui also have one doubles win on the day. Hug, Isabella Moss, Sager, Segui and Valeria Centeno each have one singles win on the year.

About Eastern Kentucky - Eastern Kentucky comes into the weekend at 2-6 overall after a 6-1 loss to Chattanooga back on Saturday (Feb. 7). EKU comes into the weekend with a record of 10-29 in singles play and a mark of 6-14 in doubles play on the season. Ceylin Ipek leads the team with three singles wins, while Marilou Cote, Masha Fedenko and Izem Elif Olcer each have two wins on the year. Sasha Parkhomenko also has one win in singles play. Parkhomenko and Anastasiia Cherniakova have two wins as a doubles pair, while four other doubles pairs each have one win on the season.

About Western Kentucky - Western Kentucky comes into the weekend at 4-4 overall after a 7-0 win at Southern Indiana back on Saturday (Feb. 7). The Hilltoppers have posted a 28-20 singles record on the season, along with an 11-10 doubles record. Virginia Madueno leads the way with six singles wins, while Andra Sirbu has five wins on the season. Barara Olvera, Emily Schut, Isabelle Einess and Ariadna Fernandez each have four wins. Elizabeth Sobieski also has one win in singles play. Olvera and Madueno have five wins in doubles play, while Sirbu and Schut have three wins as a doubles pair. Sobieski and Einess have two wins in doubles play, while Schut and Einess also have one doubles win.
