Asheville Improves to Seventh Following Second Round of Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge

DAY TWO RESULTS
PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. - The UNC Asheville women's golf team improved their second-round score by 12 strokes from yesterday's first-round finish to move into seventh place at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge.
On Tuesday, the Bulldogs shot a 294 and have a two-round score of 600 (+22), following their first-round score of 306.
PLAYING SUMMARY
The Bulldogs moved ahead of Ohio, USC Upstate, and Towson to take seventh place entering the final round of competition. The Bobcats dropped from fifth to eighth after shooting a 306 and are one stroke behind the Bulldogs. USC Upstate dropped from eighth to ninth after shooting the same score as yesterday (302), and Towson dropped from ninth to 10th with a 310 second round finish.
Asheville is now four strokes behind Fairleigh Dickinson, who is in sixth, and six strokes behind Evansville in fifth. Coastal Carolina still holds the top spot after two rounds of play at +1, as the Chanticleers shot a 283 on Tuesday.

PLAYER SUMMARY
Beryl Giletti finished the day in a six-way tie for the lowest score of the second round, as she shot a 70 (-1) and moved up 10 spots to enter the final round of play tied for eighth. Giletti is two-over par with rounds of 74-70.
Caroline Patterson jumped from being tied for 42nd to being tied for 19th following her second round 72. Patterson is 7-over par with rounds of 77-72.
Morgan Guepet, Jordyn Arts, and Claudia Salvador (individual) all shot a 76 in the second round of play. Guepet is tied for 30th with rounds of 75-76, Arts is tied for 54th with rounds of 80-76, and Salvador in the individual spot is tied for 22nd with rounds of 74-76.
Ally Kerr rounds out the Bulldogs tied for 64th, with rounds of 81-77.
A LOOK AT TOMORROW
Asheville completes the final round of play beginning tomorrow morning, with Kerr leading the group off at 7:58 a.m. from hole one. Giletti will be the final Bulldog to tee off from hole one at 8:42 a.m.
Asheville will be playing with Evansville, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Ohio.
Salvador will be teeing off from hole one at 7:49 a.m. with individuals from Coastal Carolina and Ohio.
