Giletti Leads Bulldogs After Round One of Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team wrapped up day one of the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge on Monday (March 31), and after the first 18 holes of competition, Asheville sits in 10th with a 306 (+22).
PLAYING SUMMARY
Asheville is two strokes ahead of the University of Illinois Chicago, who sits in 11th at +24, and the Bulldogs are three strokes behind Towson (+19). Big South foe USC Upstate is in eighth at +18. The Bulldogs are 20 strokes behind Coastal Carolina, which leads the field at +2 after the first 18 holes.

PLAYER SUMMARY
Beryl Giletti leads Asheville with a 74 (+3) and is tied for 18th alongside Claudia Salvador, who also shot a 74 as an individual.
Morgan Guepet follows closely behind with a 75 (+4) and is tied for 27th.
Caroline Patterson is tied for 42nd with a 77 (+6), Jordyn Arts is tied for 64th with an 80 (+9), and Ally Kerr is tied for 70th with an 81 (+10).
A LOOK AT TOMORROW
Asheville opens the second round tomorrow morning, with the Bulldogs teeing off from hole 10. Kerr will lead the group at 7:49 a.m., and Giletti will close the group out at 8:33 a.m.
Asheville will be playing with Towson, UIC, and Marshall.
Salvador will be teeing off from hole one at 7:49 a.m. with individuals from UIC and Ohio.
