Lanowitz would continue the inning with a single to right field, before moving all the way to third on an error in right field. He would score on a single to center by Lowe as Asheville extended its lead to 6-2. Asheville would tack on two more in the fifth inning when Minarik went deep for a second time with Johnson on base as Asheville pushed its lead to 8-2. Western Carolina got one run back in the home half of the sixth before scoring one in the seventh, three in the eighth and two in the ninth to rally for the walk-off win.
