03.28.2025 | Baseball
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - A solid relief outing from freshman Garrett Crum was not enough for UNC Asheville Baseball in an 8-3 loss to Presbyterian at Greenwood Field on Friday (Mar. 28) in Big South Conference action.
Â
Presbyterian built a 4-0 lead through the first two innings before Crum took the mound in the third and held them scoreless for the next five innings. Asheville got one run in the fifth on a Jake Minarik groundout with the bases loaded, before they would add one in the sixth when Jake Pereira scored on a sacrifice fly by Logan Lowe. Presbyterian would add four runs to its lead in the ninth, before Asheville would bring the game to its final score when Patrick Gillen scored on a Blaize Johnson double to right field.
Â
