Jordan Marsh Named a Finalist for the Lou Henson Award

BOSTON, Mass. – CollegeInsider.com has announced the finalists for the 2024-25 Lou Henson award, which is presented annually to the top player in mid-major in college basketball, and Jordan Marsh has been named a finalist.
The Big South Conference Newcomer of the Year, averaged a league best 23.1 points in Big South games this season, the highest points per game average in conference action since 2019-20. The sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., led Asheville with 18.8 points per game, 117 assists (3.7 per game), and 65 steals. Marsh finished the season at No. 26 in the nation in field goals with 223 and No. 37 in points with 603.
Marsh led the Bulldogs in scoring 15 times and reached double-figure scoring 27 times this season. He led the Big South with three 30-point games. Against USC Upstate on Feb. 12, Marsh scored 27 points in the second half, the most points scored by a Bulldog in a half this season, and the most points in a half by a Bulldog since Josh Banks scored 30 against App State on Dec. 21, 2023. On Jan. 18, Marsh went 13-for-13 from the free throw line, just the 15th time a Big South player has made 100% from the charity stripe in 13 attempts.
Marsh had a career-high 33 points and six 3-pointers against High Point on Feb. 8, and a career-high eight assists against Winthrop on Jan. 18.
The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches and two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com. The 2025 award will be announced in San Antonio, TX, site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.
