ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis blanked Emmanuel (Ga.) 7-0 at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown for a non-conference win on Sunday (Feb. 2).

Asheville swept doubles play before going on to win all six singles matches to secure the clean sheet. Angelina Joy Hug and Ari Siegel dispatched Sabina Roua and Shatavsia Ghosh 6-1 at No. 1, before Elizabeth Tindera and Alexis Nyborg took care of Anna Goncalves and Tawana Senah 6-0 at No. 2. Louise Booker and Avery Sager beat Franziska Wolter and Emma Auger 6-3 at No. 3 to complete the doubles sweep. Nyborg went on to beat Roua 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1, before Tindera would take down Ghosh 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2. Julia Caffarena would beat Sena 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3, before Valeria Centeno would defeat Goncalves 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4. Avery Sager would get the win over Wolter 6-0, 6-7, 10-3 at No. 5, before Keira Stewart would beat Auger 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 to complete the sweep.Â
