Kameron Taylor Earns Second Freshman of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Kameron Taylor scored 14 points and had a career-high eight rebounds to help the UNC Asheville men's basketball team to victory this past Wednesday, and his efforts have earned him Big South Conference Freshman of the Week honors. The league made the announcement on Monday (Feb. 3).

This is the first time since the 2018-19 season that a freshman has earned freshman of the week honors twice in a season.
The freshman from Charlotte started his first conference game of the season and second overall last Wednesday against Radford. He was 6-of-11 from the floor (=54.5 percent) with one three-pointer to help Asheville extend its win streak to six games.
In conference play, Taylor is averaging 9.1 points and 4.6 rebounds and is shooting .456 from the field.
Taylor and the rest of the Bulldogs will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 6, when Asheville hosts Gardner-Webb at 9 p.m. in an ESPNU showdown.
