Women's Basketball Opens Big South Conference Play at High Point on New Year's Eve

UNC Asheville enters conference play at 5-8 after an 84-31 win over Brevard on Monday (Dec. 29).
The Bulldogs lead the conference and rank 14^th in the nation in field goal percentage defense (33.7 percent), rank 20^th in free throw attempts per game (22.9), rank 53^rd in free throws made per game (14.6) and also are second in the conference and 28^th in the nation in three-point percentage defense (25.8 percent).
