Divers Turn in Solid Performance Against Georgia Southern on Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville's divers turned in a solid performance against Georgia Southern on Friday (Dec. 12) on the first day of the Atlantic Sun Conference dual meet.

The divers competed in two rounds of 1M diving at the Asheville Jewish Community Center. Leigha Travis took fourth in the first round with a score of 239.78, while Haley Fein finished fifth in the round with a score of 215.10. Fein placed fourth in the second round with a score of 216.38, while Travis finished fifth with a score of 216.23.

"The divers had a great showing today against Georgia Southern," said diving coach Bailey Betzer. "They showed positive attitudes all around and the girls made it so much fun! I am super proud of them and all the hard work they have put in leading up to this meet!"

The Bulldogs return to the water for swimming tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 13) to wrap up the dual meet. The action begins at 11:00 a.m. from the Justice Center Pool.
