Women's Swimming and Diving Announces 2026-27 Schedule

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving has announced its 2026-27 schedule today (Thursday, Sept. 10), for the program's 15th season under head coach Elizabeth Lykins.

The program's annual Blue/White Intrasquad will take place Sept. 18-19, before the Bulldogs head to Greenville, N.C. to take on East Carolina and Tulane Oct. 16-17. The divers will be in action Oct. 23 in Asheville, before the swimmers welcome Campbell to the Justice Center on Oct. 24 before the entire team heads to Davidson on Oct. 30. The Bulldogs will head to Liberty for the TYR '85 Invite Nov. 20-22, before traveling to Georgia Southern on Dec. 10 and Florida Gulf Coast on Dec. 16. The 2027 portion of the schedule begins Jan. 8-9 for Senior Weekend, with the divers facing Queens on Jan. 8 and the swimmers facing Gardner-Webb on Jan. 9. The Divers then head to Georgia Southern Jan. 15-16, before the Bulldogs return home to host UNC Pembroke on Jan. 29 while the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships return to Knoxville Feb. 17-20.

"We are pumped for a full slate of competition this season!" said Coach Lykins. "The front half of the schedule includes multiple strong non-conference opponents with ECU, Tulane, Campbell and Davidson. We look forward to the mid-season invite being a bit different for us this season; we will travel as a team, swimmers and divers, to Lynchburg, Va. for a combined invitational and are excited about some varying competition we don't see every year. This season our winter training will go head-to-head with two conference opponents, both on the road in Statesboro, Ga. and Fort Myers, Fla. At start of the new year, we return to campus for a home meet to celebrate our nine Seniors on January 8-9 and make final preparations as we ready for conference champs in mid-February. The season is sure to provide challenges yet also have us ready to compete at all the right moments!"

The Blue/White Intrasquad begins on Friday, Sept. 18 at 4:00 p.m. with diving at the Asheville Jewish Community Center. Swimming will take place at the Justice Center Pool on Saturday (Sept. 19) at 11:00 a.m. Â
