DAVIDSON, N.C. – Individual performances from freshman diver Miley Cook, senior swimmer Alessia Cunegatti and freshman swimmer Beatrice Pecorello stood out for UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving in Friday night's (Oct. 30) action at Davidson. The Bulldogs ultimately dropped the meet by a score of 232-67.
Cunegatti earned a pair of second-place finishes in the 200 Butterfly (2:08.12) and the 200 IM (2:08.24), while also finishing fourth in the 200 Backstroke in 2:08.78. Pecorello posted a win in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:23.16, while also finishing third in the 100 Breaststroke in 1:06.87. On the diving boards, senior Leigha Travis placed third in the one-meter event with a score of 238.05, while Cook finished third in the three-meter event with a personal-best score of 248.18. Cook also earned a personal-best score of 217.80.
The Bulldogs will return to action Nov. 20-22 for Liberty's TYR '85 Invite.
