CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville's swimmers wrapped up day one of the Fall Frenzy Invitational on Thursday (Nov. 20) with solid performances in the 800 free relay

The quartet of Alessia Cunegatti, Gianna Riffel, Beatrice Cocconcelli and Anna Marcotti finished sixth in 7:30.14, while Kathryn Walters, Anna Kate Halligan, Rose Sciaudone and Danai Gkogkosi finished 12th in 7:42.66.

"We put together two really strong relays this afternoon!" said head coach Elizabeth Lykins. "I'm happy with the team's efforts and the way they executed racing strategies. We're looking forward to individual races and diving to start tomorrow."Â

The Bulldogs return to the water tomorrow (Friday, Nov. 21) for the second day of competition. Action begins at 9:30 a.m., with video and tickets available at www.uncabulldogs.com. The divers also begin competition at Liberty's TYR '85 Invite tomorrow in Lynchburg, Va.
