Swimmers Take on the Fall Frenzy Invitational, Divers Head to Liberty's TYR '85 Invite

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving has a busy week ahead, with the swimmers ready to take on the Fall Frenzy Invitational and the divers heading to Liberty's TYR '85 invite.

About the Bulldog Swimmers - The Bulldogs come into the event at 2-1 in dual competitions on the season. Asheville returns 16 swimmers from a season ago while adding three new faces to the roster. Senior Anna Marcotti earned her first career Atlantic Sun Conference Swimmer of the Week honor after posting three individual wins in the 188-112 win over Davidson back on Nov. 8.

About the Bulldog Divers - The Bulldogs return two divers from a season ago in senior Haley Fein and junior Leigha Travis. Asheville also welcomes freshman Eleanor Pichetto to the mix. Travis has earned Atlantic Sun Conference Diver of the Week honors twice so far this season.

From Head Coach Elizabeth Lykins – "We look forward to competing in Charlotte these next few days. Our Fall preparation will be tested as we race in our first multi-day meet of the season. The team is excited to race hard and hopefully see some positive outcomes."

From Diving Coach Bailey Betzer – "We made it to midseason! I'm really pleased with where we're at as a dive squad and can't wait to watch the girls perform! We're coming with our best dives and I expect some good diving overall. There will be good competition and opportunities for great performances this weekend that I'm excited to watch!"
