Swimmers Set to Take on Campbell and East Carolina in Double Dual on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving will take on Campbell and East Carolina in a non-conference double dual on Saturday (Oct. 18). The action begins at 11:00 a.m. from Buies Creek, N.C.

About the Bulldogs - These will be the first two duals of the season for the Bulldog swimmers. Asheville returns 16 swimmers from a season ago while adding three new faces to the roster. Â

About the Camels - Campbell is 0-1 on the season in dual meets, dropping their opener at UNC Pembroke 171-84 back on Sept. 27.

About the Pirates - East Carolina enters the week at 1-2 in duals on the season, dropping their last meet to Liberty 194-155 back on Oct. 3-4. Â

The first road trip of the year always brings out great team camaraderie, starts creating memories for the new team members and setting the tone for the season. We have put in a lot of hard work to this point and hope to apply new racing strategies to our events this weekend."

Series Histories - This will be the 17th all-time meeting between Asheville and Campbell, with Campbell leading the all-time series 9-6-1. Asheville has won the last six meetings in the series, including a 284-63 victory last season. This will be the fifth all-time meeting between Asheville and East Carolina, with the all-time series tied 2-2. East Carolina won last year's meeting 206-93.
