Louis Beckett Earns Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week Honorable Mention Honors

LONG BEACH, Calif. - UNC Asheville senior midfielder Louis Beckett has earned Team of the Week Honorable Mention honors from Top Drawer Soccer, announced by the organization today (Tuesday, Oct. 13).

The Bulldogs posted a 3-0 win at Longwood in their only match last week, extending their shutout streak to three in a row in Farmville. Beckett scored his first two goals of the season in the match, including the winner. The effort marked Beckett's first career brace, and he was named the Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance.

He is the second Bulldog this season to be named Team of the Week honorable mention.

This is his first career Team of the Week honor. The Bridlington, U.K. native is a sport management major.

The Bulldogs (6-4-1, 2-2-0 Big South Conference) return to action next Saturday (Oct. 18) to host Presbyterian for Senior Night. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. from Greenwood Field, with live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
