After the Dogs extinguished the first threat with their second double play of the game earlier in the inning, Christian Tuupo would keep Charleston Southern alive with a two-out, two-strike single to left. Dakota Miller then laced a double to left center, as Tuupo rounded third attempting to score. The throw came in from Lanwotiz in the gap to Abrams on the relay, who fired a one-hop dart to Coleman McGinnis to put the tag on Tuupo at the plate and secure the win for the Bulldogs.
