Drew Pember Earns NABC All-District Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC has released the 2023-24 NABC Division I All-District Teams and District Coaches of the Year, and UNC Asheville's Drew Pember earned first-team All-District 3 honors.
The district includes the Big South Conference and ASun. Pember was one of two individuals from the Big South named to the first team, along with High Point's Duke Miles.
It was another standout season for the Knoxville, Tennessee, native as Pember is the first back-to-back Big South Player of the Year recipient since 2008-10 and is the second individual from Asheville to earn the honor back-to-back years.
He led the league in scoring (20.4 ppg), blocks (57), and defensive boards (197). Pember, Lou Henson National Player of the Year Award Watch List honoree, finished the regular season No. 5 in the nation in free throws made and free throw attempts. Pember recorded seven double-doubles this season and two triple-doubles, with his second triple-double coming in the Big South Conference tournament. He is one of three individuals to record a triple-double in conference tournament play.
