Drew Pember earns Big South Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville fifth-year senior Drew Pember has been named the Big South Conference Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday (Feb. 5).
Pember averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists while shooting 59.3 percent from the floor (16-of-27) and 50.0 from beyond the arc (7-of-14) against Gardner-Webb (Jan. 31) and Winthrop (Feb. 3).
He matched his season-high of 36 points, posted a season-high six threes, tallied seven assists, and recorded his sixth double-double with 11 rebounds in Asheville's victory over Winthrop on Saturday to complete the season sweep of the Eagles.
This is Pember's second weekly award of the season and the 10th weekly award of his career.
On the season, Pember leads Asheville, averaging 21.0 points, 7.6 boards, and 44 blocks.
The Bulldogs return to action Wednesday, Feb. 7, as they host High Point in Kimmel Arena at 6:30 p.m.
