Men’s basketball announces signing of Clarke to 2024 class

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's basketball program announced the addition of Juilan Clarke to its 2024 class on Thursday. 

"We are extremely excited to welcome Julian into our program," said Head Coach Mike Morrell. "He is a wonderful fit for our style of play and will be a great addition to our athletic department and student body." 

Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Clarke is a 6-foot-1 point guard from Lake Highland Prep. In 2022-23, Clarke averaged 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game to help the Highlanders to a district championship. He was a FACA District 11 Player of the Year and a member of the Orlando Sentinel All-Area team honorable mention. 

Clarke helped lead LHP to a regional championship and the state final four during his sophomore campaign. He was a member of the 2A State Championship team at Orlando Christian Prep his freshman year.
