Bulldogs Defeat Emmanuel (Ga.) for Lise Gregory's 150th Career Win

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's tennis defeated Emmanuel (Ga.) on Saturday (Jan. 28) by a score of 6-1 for head coach Lise Gregory's 150th win with the program.
Gregory has been the head coach of Asheville women's tennis since 2007, also coaching the men's program until 2013. She is already the winningest coach in women's tennis program history.
The Bulldogs swept doubles play to get the doubles point, before winning five of six singles matches on the day. Ami Grace Dougah and Rosie Dickson defeated Lauren Castillon and Zyanya Rogel 6-3 at No. 1 doubles, before Linge Steenkamp and Ari Siegel took down Alejandra Guerrero and Anna Goncalves 6-2 at No. 2. Valeria Centeno and Elizabeth Tindera then completed the doubles sweep with a 6-1 win over Eve Robinson and Maria Rodriguez at No. 3.
Dougah went on to blank Alejandra Guerrero 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Steenkamp defeated Soleny Gonzalez 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2. Tindera swept Darja Chistov 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3, before Centeno defeated Robinson 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4. Avery Sager capped off the win with a 6-0, 1-6, 10-8 win over Shatavisa Ghosh at No. 5 singles.
