Women's Tennis Completes Weekend Sweep with 6-1 Win over Wofford

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's tennis completed an early-season weekend sweep with a 6-1 win over Wofford on Sunday (Jan. 29) at the Asheville Racquet Club.
The Bulldogs captured the doubles point with two victories in doubles play, before winning five of six singles matches en route to the victory.
Ari Siegel and Linge Steenkamp defeated Emma Sorensen and Catherine Blouin 6-4 at No. 2 doubles, before Valeria Centeno and Elizabeth Tindera picked up a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles over Emely Kahrs and Brianna Wilbur. Ami Grace Dougah beat Lily Woods 7-6, 6-2 in straight sets at No. 1 singles, before Steenkamp swept Breda Brennan 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. Tindera was able to grind out a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 win over Emily Kahrs at No. 3, before Rosie Dickson beat Georgia Fischer 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5. Centeno wrapped things up with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Blouin at No. 6 singles.
