Men’s Soccer returns home to host Wofford on Tuesday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's soccer team will return home on Tuesday to take on Wofford in another non-conference matchup at Greenwood Field. Kickoff between the Terriers and Bulldogs is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
Last Time Out – The Bulldogs battled hard but ultimately fell by a score of 2-0 on the road at Furman on Saturday. With the loss, Asheville moves to 1-6 on the 2022 campaign.
Saving the Day – A strength for Asheville this season has been the play of its two goalkeepers, A.J. Bengds and Ian McGill. Combined the duo has logged 35 saves, which leads all Big South teams. Furthermore, Both McGill (4th – 19) and Bengds (6th – 16) rank among the top 10 in the conference in terms of total saves.
Glad to be back home – Asheville, like most teams, plays much better at home as opposed to on the road. In 2022, the Bulldogs have netted eight goals in five matches (1.6 goals per game) at Greenwood Field compared to just one goal in three road contests (0.33 goals per game).
