Big South Conference announces men’s basketball schedules for 2022-23

BIG SOUTH RELEASE
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference released its 2022-23 men's basketball league schedule on Tuesday afternoon. UNC Asheville will play the other nine Big South teams in a home-and-home format for a total of 18 conference games.
League games, which will begin on December 29, will be played on Wednesdays and Saturdays with the lone exception being the conference opener on a Thursday. Game times will be released at a later date.
Of note, the Bulldogs will host defending conference champion Longwood on Wednesday, January 11 and rival Gardner-Webb for Homecoming on Saturday, February 18.
The season culminates with the 2023 Hercules Tires Big South Men's Basketball Championship, which will be held at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C., from March 1-5. Two first round games will be Wednesday, March 1, followed by four quarterfinal contests on Friday, March 3. The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, March 4, with the Championship game on Sunday, March 5.
