Women's Tennis falls 7-0 in regular season finale

CHARLESTON, S.C. – UNC Asheville Women's Tennis fell 7-0 at the hands of Charleston Southern on Saturday afternoon in South Carolina.
The number one team in the Big South proved to be a formidable test, taking all singles matches in straight sets, outside of a retirement on the No. 3 court.
In doubles, Ari Siegel and Linge Steenkamp managed to win on the No. 2 court 6-3 and finish the regular season with an outstanding 11-1 record as a duo.
The Bulldogs now play the waiting game to figure out their seed for the Big South Tournament next weekend, with a Radford loss tomorrow securing home-court advantage for Asheville in the Quarterfinal round.
Asheville finishes the regular season with a record of 12-5, which is the most wins since the 2014-15 season (13), and 4-4 in the conference, which is the most since the 2017 season (4).
The Bulldogs will either play April 15th or 16th with an opponent to be determined after tomorrow's Radford and Charleston Southern match.
