Men’s Tennis hosts Kennesaw State Tuesday afternoon

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Having lost just its second match of the season to nationally-ranked ETSU on Saturday, the UNC Asheville Men's Tennis team returns to the court on Tuesday afternoon when it hosts Kennesaw State at 1:00 p.m.
Bouncing Back
Despite dropping Saturday's match, UNC Asheville still sports a strong record of 7-2 on the spring season. Quinn Fender, who is 5-3 in singles competition was able to score the lone point for Asheville against ETSU, grinding out a 7-6, 6-4 (7-2) win at the No. 6 flight. Leo Bierbaum (5-2) and Bruno Serra (7-2) dropped just their second individual matches all season, while Rafa Serra (4-1) and Harry Thursfield (5-1) have given Asheville strong outings all season.
A look at the Owls
Kennesaw State sits at 6-3 overall on the season, is 1-1 against Big South competition and has won five of its last six matches. Competing in the Atlantic Sun, the Owls are coming off a 4-1 non-conference victory over No. 66 Furman on Sunday. Raul Garcia has been a key part of Kennesaw State's success, splitting time between the No. 1 and No. 2 flights.
