ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Riding a season-high four-game winning streak, the UNC Asheville baseball team will return to action on Tuesday for a neutral site game in Hickory, N.C., against Appalachian State. The game will be played at L.P. Frans Stadium, which is the home field of the Hickory Crawdads. The first pitch between the Bulldogs and Mountaineers is set for 6 p.m.

Groves finding his groove – Another Bulldog that has recently been hot at the plate has been Michael Groves. Groves hit .467 with five extra-base hits (four doubles, one triple) and eight RBI to help Asheville go 4-0 last week. Groves also had a 4-for-5 day in the middle game of the Charleston Southern, with one of those hits being the game-winning three-run triple.
Offensive Explosion vs. Charleston Southern – Asheville had by far its best offensive series of the season against Charleston Southern. The Bulldogs totaled 30 runs and 42 hits in the three-game set. Asheville set new season-highs in terms of runs scored (14) and hits (19) in Sunday's series finale.

The Mountaineers are coming off a road series win over Arkansas Little Rock over the weekend. A player to watch for App State will be Hayden Cross.
