ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Women's Tennis will play their last non-conference match on Sunday afternoon as they welcome UT Martin into town.
The Bulldogs were able to break the two-game losing skid on Thursday at Western Carolina in a 4-3 victory, thanks to a sweep in the doubles matches and a straight-set victory from sophomore Beatrice Faureng in the final singles match.
Lize Alet Morkel battled through a three-set, 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 victory on the No. 1 court, while Ami Grace Dougah received a victory from the retirement of her opponent.
UT Martin comes into Sunday at 1-9, with a lone 4-0 win coming against Missouri State on March 4th.
Sunday's match marks the first matchup against a Big South team this season for the Skyhawks and is the first meeting between Asheville and UT Martin in recent history.
Sunday's match will start at 1:00 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
