Women's Tennis eyes 5-0 start against Davidson at home on Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Women's Tennis looks to start the season 5-0 on Friday afternoon, welcoming the Davidson Wildcats into town.
The Bulldogs competed for the first time in two weeks last weekend, pulling off victories of 6-1 and 7-0 against Emmanuel College and Limestone University.
Junior Ami Grace Dougah continued her stellar start to the season, winning both singles matches handily at the No. 1 position (6-1, 6-0, and 6-0, 6-1), while the duo of herself and fellow junior Rosie Dickson won 6-3 and 6-0 in doubles.
Davidson has competed in two matches this spring, including a 7-0 victory against UNC Greensboro, and a 7-0 loss against Wake Forest.
The Wildcats have won the last four contests against the Bulldogs, including a 6-1 victory in 2019. All-time, Asheville is 1-5 against Davidson, with the last win coming in the 2011-2012 season.
Friday's match will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
