Women's Tennis moves to 5-0 after 5-2 win against Davidson

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Women's Tennis kept the winning streak alive against the Davidson Wildcats on Friday afternoon after a 5-2 victory moved them to 5-0 on the year.
The Bulldogs' doubles play continues to be a stronghold, with all three flights winning 6-4 decisions.
Rosie Dickson and Ami Grace Dougah (No. 1), along with Taylor Love and Lize Alet Morkel (No. 3) each moved their doubles record to 5-0 on the year, while Ari Siegel and Linge Steenkamp (No. 2) earned their third win of the year.
Morkel (No. 1) and Dougah (No. 2) continued their singles dominance, with each collecting straight victories (6-3, 6-4, and 6-2, 6-1).
Steenkamp (No. 3) and Beatrice Faureng (No. 5) both collected hard earned three-set wins after each lost their first set.
Steenkamp dropped her first set 7-5 to turn it around and win 6-4, 6-4 in the next two, while Faureng lost 6-2 in her first set, to then win her next two 6-2, 10-7.
The Bulldogs kick off Big South play next Saturday against Longwood at 3:00 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
