Women's Tennis opens Big South Play at home on Saturday against Longwood

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Women's Tennis looks to keep its perfect season alive, opening Big South play on Saturday at home against Longwood at 3:00 p.m.
The Bulldogs pushed their record to 5-0 last weekend after a 5-2 victory against its first division one opponent of the year in Davidson.
Asheville won each doubles match 6-4, while in singles action Lize Alet Morkel and Ami Grace Dougah picked up straight-set victories, and Big South Player of the Week Linge Steenkamp earned an important 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 singles victory to clinch the match.
Longwood has yet to pick up a win on the year, but have faced stiff competition including the University of Virginia and Liberty University.
The Bulldogs are 9-1 all-time against the Lancers, including a 6-1 win last season that saw Dougah, Morkel, Steenkamp, Taylor Love, and Rosie Dickson all win in straight sets.
Saturday's match will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
